Yea, , did a $200 straight Exacta, about $1900 back.

Not bad for a little under 2 minutes.

I'm afraid he'll get caught by a strong closer over the extra distance. We will see.

It's just brutal running 3 races over 6 weeks too.

Closers rarely win the Belmont, usually speed or a horse that likes to run near the lead.

This horse has a perfect running style for the mile and a half, though so did Smarty Jones in 2004, and he got beat.

5 weeks is really tough for horses who have never gone these distances.

I watched the race while sitting in a Mexican restaurant where the sound was too low on the TVs. I'm just glad they kept it on before switching to the Gnats.
