I was pretty pissed about how she was being treated.

I will say that from the update on the Lochte story I heard today on NPR, he's probably being overly vilified at this point even though KVV and you in this thread make an excellent point about the initial reaction.

I largely agree with his opinion on the matter, but I think the examples he uses to show it here are pretty poor and don't really have much to do with the issue.

So many variables but it proves inferior equipment and resources make a noticeable difference when comparing eras. Obviously, training is much better now too. I've argued many times over many different sports that a lot of the elite athletes of yesterday would still find a way to be at the top of their sports todayQuick little comparison video worth checking out.
