Discuss here. Very curious to see who the Capitals wind up taking. Some interesting prospects this year.

Whoever gets Anton Karlsson is going to get a steal. Don't think he's worth drafting at #13 (where the Caps are projected to pick), but he could fall to them in the second round. Might be worth moving up to get. Reminds me a lot of pre-2013 Brooks Laich. Third line forward who could easily be a top 6 forward. Whoever hires Trotz is a good bet to draft Karlsson, just the kind of guy that Trotz loves. Two-way player.

How unlucky can the Sabres get?

 

If the Panthers draft Ekblad, they could be REALLLLY good in a few seasons. That's what tends to happen when you get a lot of high draft picks though.

Hope that one of Jared McCann and Ivan Barbashev are available at pick 13. Either one would be great for the Capitals. They desperately need center depth.
