Some kind of weather we are having in the States right now. Snow in Texas, don't see that too often, ever?

Can’t not think of Texas and snow without the Thanksgiving Leon Lett play coming to mind.
My wife has a friend living in a Dallas suburb, and they are basically snowed in, without power, for what would be a decent snow here, but seemingly a blizzard to them. Doesn’t know when they’ll get out because they don’t have snow plows, salt, power company can’t get out to fix the lines. They just don’t prepare for this down there.
