Agree that while Paul's Boutique was their best work, that License To Ill was their most influential album. However, I think equal credit with regard to the latter goes to Run DMC's Raising Hell, which was released a couple months before LTI. Their version of Walk This Way was the first hip-hop song to break the Top 5 on the Billboard charts (#4)....and it pretty much revived the careers of Aerosmith as well. Credit Rick Rubin too, whose idea it was to remake the song and had to really sell Russell Simmons and Darryl McDaniels on doing it.
