This team on paper appears to have a solid 4 SP, of course, the game is played on the diamond, and you never know, sometimes you are just one pitch away from season ending injury.

Still wishing the Nats nothing but the worst in their future endeavors.

Unreal. Criminals and thugs are really running wild when this can happen in such a public place

Here are some details on the shooting.
While it's fortunate that no one was killed, it's unfortunate that people were wounded, including bystanders.
Hopefully, the perpetrators are caught.

DC is no different than Baltimore or any other city across the US.
Senseless shootings day and night.

This could certainly happen in Baltimore and as you said other cities. I am not smart enough to no what the answer in, but the violence is out of control. I feel bad for the bystanders who came to watch a ball game and wound up in terror.

I mean, it is located in SE DC....
I avoid DC at all cost. Is that bad?

No, that's not bad at all.
I have to travel to both DC and Baltimore for business. Although I grew up in Baltimore, I am more comfortable travelling in DC at this point.

I worked in law enforcement in the PG County area outside NE/SE DC area.... definitely not the best area. But yeah, probably not as bad as the bad areas in Baltimore.

Anacostia? Yeah. It is. It is every bit as bad as the worst areas in Baltimore, it's just not as big. Used to be more spread, but with building the stadium down there (at the outskirts) and slowly gentrifying towards the worse area it's shrunk down.
Very odd to see it make its way right to the stadium though, even before they rebuilt that was the edge of the really bad spots, but now with all the police presence, cameras and people around the worst elements tend to stay away from the area. Go down the river a bit though...ooof.

Happening at DC isn't the story. Can literally happen anywhere.
The story (sports wise imo) is what happens if fans don't feel safe attending venues of large crowds, what else can the venues do security wise?
