What are yours?

I'd go with a top 10 that looked like:

10. Dr. Dre -- The Chronic

9. A Tribe Called Quest -- Midnight Marauders

8. Snoop Dogg -- Doggystyle

7. Gangstarr -- Hard to Earn

6. Nas -- Illmatic

5. A Tribe Called Quest -- The Low End Theory

4. The Pharcyde -- Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde

3. Notorious BIG -- Ready to Die

2. Raekwon -- Only Built 4 Cuban Linx

1. Wu Tang Clan -- Enter the 36 Chambers

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Good list.  I'd have to put Liquid Swords on mine.

Liquid Swords could very well be #11 on that list. There are 1 or 2 songs on that album that are weak links, which is why it's out of the top 10 for me.

I may have to throw some KRS-1 on any top 10 hip hop list I make.

And Liquid Swords. Love me that album.

Lemme get two claps and a Ric Flair

Never got into KRS-One or BDP. Never liked his voice or the way he rapped. "MC's Act Like They Don't Know" is great though for the Premiere production alone.

Meh.

Two of the most influential albums in rap history? Awesome albums to boot?

No "meh".

I'm on my iPad so I can't type a long answer but, uh , stick to movies.

Sorry this was unnecessarily snarky. I just respectfully disagree.

Solid selections but Tupac needs to be in there somewhere IMO. All Eyez on Me would be a good addition to the list

Meh.

I love Tupac, especially his earlier stuff but I wasn't crazy about Me Against the World or All Eyez on Me.

Not an Eminem fan either and the golden age of hip hop was over by 1998 IMO.
