Do you have commissioner powers to delete players from the pool?

 

Anyone who might have to use auto-pick could also delete the MiL players in question from the default yahoo rankings and save it as their own. I think that might work.

Ill look and see. Hopefully, the only potential autodraft will be Weber. If we are lucky , not even him.

 

 

I do think I can pause the draft and reset the last drafted player but Im not sure if the computer will keep nominating the same player or not.

I think Im gonna have to rule that the international FA aren't eligible for the minor league draft.

 

 

 

If they are, I would have to reopen the whole draft from the beginning and give Ricker the first chance at one of those guys. On me for not making a ruling on those guys.

We had guys like that available before (Puig last year), and Jose Abreu was like the first or second pick this year.

 

I think the rule should be the same, guys who haven't played in MLB are eligible.  Gives some value to getting those top picks, rather than using your own minor league keeper, if there are a couple good Japanese or Cuban guys available.

You are right that Puig was available in the minor league portion last year. So, honestly, I forgot and didn't think about Tanaka. That's on me, and I think the same should apply for the owners who were in the league last year. I'm just wondering if I didn't make the rules clear enough to Ricker and should allow him the opportunity to change his pick to Tanaka or Abreu if he wants to do so.

I would have taken Tanaka or Abreu if I knew they were eligible.

I don't know why someone would think they wouldn't be eligible. It's a draft of players who haven't played in the bigs yet. Puig was taken last year. They are eligible for the ROY. Go to websites where keeper league prospects are ranked, they are there.(http://www.faketeams...rospects-part-1)

Obviously I'm biased but this seems like a case of people seeing a good pick and wishing they had thought of it.

I agree (in my obviously biased fashion).  If Ricker says he didn't know they were available, that might sway my opinion, as he was the only new person.  But no returning players have a gripe here, as these were the rules last season.

 

Also, Abreu went third, so anyone after that should've known Tanaka was available.

I figured they were... but I've never done a league like this one before, so I figured Sano would be good since he's out for the year and won't tempt me to come up, and can carry him over to next year rather easily.

I had the 2nd pick and forgot too. I would have taken Tanaka.

Since Ricker apppears fine with Sano we will continue on from here.

Ricker is up for his 2nd round pick.

Only Seth , Russ, and Mack get a 2nd round pick , as the rest of us kept a minor league keeper.

There was no way for me to put someone on the no draft list. If the computer drafts one I will have to just drop them from their roster after we are done.
