Before the Draft, the Ravens Offensive Line looked like:
O-Line: McKinnie, Reid, Birk, Yanda, Oher (Harewood, Boren) (7)
Osemele figures to compete with Reid at LG. Should Osemele win that job, the Ravens Tackle depth is improved with Reid being available as a reserve for either Tackle position.
Looking at Kelechi Osemele

Aaron Wilson @RavensInsider
John Harbaugh said Kelechi Osemele will compete with Jah Reid at left guard. Will also compete at right tackle.
Sounds like Oher better step his game up.

Kiper and Gruden sounded a little "meh" on the pick, IMO.

Any word on what Mayock thought? I personally would rather hear his opinion and Kiper's over Gruden.

He is meh as a tackle.Kiper and Gruden sounded a little "meh" on the pick, IMO.
Scouting reports on him as a guard show him to be beast, potentially. Good run blocker, strong, physical...not a great pass protector.
I don't love nor hate the pick. It sounds like a good pick that could pay off huge or fail.
Mayock liked him.

I'm more excited about getting Osemele in the 2nd, than I would have been with Konz in the 1st. Better size, strength, power... plus, you obviously get Upshaw as the 'bonus.' Pretty nice.
The camp battle between Osemele and Reid will be interesting, either way the depth is improved.

All about projection as a G. The tape and ability says he should make that transition and be a good starting Guard in the NFL. Never know though.
