Testudo Times: Maryland may get a visit from 4-star QB 2015 Sheriron Jones
http://www.testudoti...-sheriron-jones
The Terps offered Jones back in May, but he committed to Florida soon after. He and the Gators parted ways in early December, and he could end up taking an official visit to College Park. He's rumored to be a Tennessee lean, but on-campus visits can change things.
Jones, a 6'2, 192-pound senior at Rancho Verde (Calif.) High School, is considered a four-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite, ranking as the eighth-best dual-threat quarterback in the class and the 26th-best player in the state of California. He also claims offers from Ole Miss, Nebraska, Arizona and Arizona State, among others.

Damn. We need a legitimate quarterback.
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Dwayne Haskins is the big target in the 2016 class. Don't forget about Cockerille, he's been really impressive in camp and is just waiting for his time to shine. Better arm than Brown, and more of a bruising runner (I compare him to Tebow since he is a lefty and runs like a fullback).

Testudo Times: 4-star 2015 WR Ryan Davis to make decision on Signing Day
http://www.testudoti...-on-signing-day
That'll be February 4. Maryland is expected to be on the outside looking in here, with Florida, Florida State and Auburn all more likely destinations. The Terrapins are still finalists, however, and Stefon Diggs' recent departure for the NFL could help their chances. He's rated a 4-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite, rating as the 22nd-best wide receiver in the class and the 28th-best player in the state of Florida.

Testudo Times: Maryland in the running for Vanderbilt WR/QB transfer Josh Grady
http://www.testudoti...sfer-josh-grady
Grady was rated a three-star prospect out of Armwood High School (same as Byron Cowart) back in 2011, signing with Vanderbilt over offers from Iowa, Minnesota and Utah, among others. He switched back and forth between wide receiver and quarterback with the Commodores, and would likely play receiver if he chooses to go to College Park. In his redshirt freshman season, he caught 7 passes for 89 yards and rushed six times for 23 yards. As a sophomore, he completed three of six passes for 27 yards with two interceptions. This past season as a junior, he threw an incomplete pass on his only attempt. Gady has reportedly graduated and would be eligible to play immediately.
He'd be a really nice backup slot receiver for the Terps to pick up.

Three-star Ohio DT Javon Provitt lists Maryland as one of three that he likes. At 6' 4-320, we could really use a big bodied run-stopper like him.
http://recruiting.sc...m/story/1503990
Javon Provitt is one of the top senior defensive tackle prospects in the state of Ohio, and a player that is attracting college recruiting interest.
Provitt, 6-foot-4, 320-pounds, is a run-stopper in the middle and is very physical at the point of attack. Although he might not sign on National Signing Day, Provitt is expected to sign a Division-I letter of intent.
"I probably won't be signing until later in March," Provitt reported. "I'm waiting on retaking the ACT, and right now I'm talking to Illinois, Maryland and Pittsburgh. Those would be the three schools sticking out."

Now that's exactly what the doctor ordered for the defense. Unfortunately though, sounds like we not only have to wonder whether he'll pick UM, but whether or not he'll qualify academically.
