Kai Locksley will certainly be an interesting one to follow.
I'd really like to see them focus on the defensive line and secondary. I think those are the weak spots moving forward.

The one guy people should watch for is Kai Locksley. Yes, he's Mike's son, and by all accounts will commit to Maryland. He's repeatedly said that he wants a "family feel" in college. What's more of a family feel than being coaches by your dad? He's a QB/WR, and a freak athlete. He may end up as a 5-star recruit, and runs a 4.6 40. Right now, he stands as the #6 dual-threat QB in the country as ranked by 247Sports. He'd fit very well with what Mike Locksley wants to do offensively.

Pat Allen (OT, Franklin High in Baltimore County)... he's a Top 300 Player Nationally... Terps don't seem to be involved. He should be a priority.

4-star QB Kai Locksley (Mike's son) listed Maryland (unsurprisingly) as part of his Top 10. The rest of the list includes Ohio State, Miami (FL), Auburn, Virginia Tech, Texas, Oregon, Ole Miss, Florida State, and Baylor.
For a region that doesn't normally produce many top-flight QBs, he would be a massive get for the Terps. He'd fit Locksley's spread-option scheme perfectly, and has repeatedly that he'd love a "family feel" in college.

The fact that he's listening to other schools shows he's not sold completely on going to MD. Beyond the programs involved, you can understand a kid potentially wanting to get away from home... not be coached by his Dad...
That said, it's going to look bad for MD, if the Terps don't lock him down.

A lot of coaches kids look at other schools. I think in a lot of cases, it's to avoid the appearance of nepotism and to show that that they are legitimately able to make it without the connections.
I'm not sure how good the younger Locksley is, but he'll obviously have higher expectations to begin with. If he isn't performing on the field, there will be more criticism heading his/the programs way.

He's not even going to stay at QB.
That all depends on the system he's in. Yes, there's a chance he moves to WR. I don't see it if he comes to Maryland.

If he's not playing QB at UMD, there's less pressure for him and the coaching staff.

Don't think they care about "pressure". If he's the best player for the position (he'd compete with Cockerille and Ulmer) he'll be playing. Though I'd expect him to move to WR if he can't win the job.

It will be put to the test when he's playing, not performing, and the team is losing. If they can avoid the latter two, it won't be an issue.
