They remind me of the 2017 Orioles. Only remnants remaining from when they were good. Definitely rebuild time in Boston.
They have some nice pieces to trade.

I'd be happy to see JD Martinez leave the AL East, he clobbers everyone but he especially clobbers the Orioles

Here is hoping Boston falls into the abyss. No fan base besides maybe Philly, deserves it more.

Just seems to me that Boston lost control of their Organizational vision.
Injuries have provided a lot of challenges.
They no longer have any payroll issues.
They have to be excited not to be writing checks to Rusney Castillo after this season (only 13.5M this year)
They have good core players.
Their MiLs is pretty bad, but 'rebuilding' doesn't fix that, they just need to get better at doing the internal things.
They need to figure out the pitching, but few teams have good pitching.
Feels like they need some Vision and Leadership. They can put together a better roster.

Cora returning completes MLB’s total disregard of the Red Sox cheating.
Cora was suspended for his role with the Astro’s. The Red Sox being one of baseball’s Blue Blood franchises got away with it. Unless you are the club house guy.

Not bad that you can cheat on your way to a WS and all it costs is a year off for the manager.

This is an anti-rant, but figured I'd just park it here. The Red Sox got blanked in their first ALDS game last night, and allowed a slugger to pull off a straight steal of home. Just magical.
