Wander Franco getting the call up.
So Adley Rutschman will be the number one prospect in baseball in about a month.

They always seem to have guys coming up or arriving in trades who contribute right away. Yet we're following Diaz's rehab in Bowie. SMH

Also, since they drafted Tim Beckham #1 overall in 2008, they have only had one top ten pick. It was in 2017.
But you know. Trying to lose 115 games a year and draft as high as you can. That’s the way to build a team.

I do not understand this trade for the Rays. Giving away a good, albeit old, starting pitcher for basically nothing. They don't save any money, because Tommy Hunter's salary is nearly identical to Hill's and the prospect is not all that interesting (unranked in Mets top-30 by MLB, 3 true outcome catcher, 4th round pick in 2020 but underslot as a senior draftee, <200 BA in low-A as a 22/yo but with lots of walks and power).
Are they just that lousy with pitching that they can give away one for nothing? Not like they need the bullpen help. Is there a limit on guys over 40 allowed on a team?

From what I understand the Rays have fans. They just dont want to try to get to and from the park in St Pete.

Maybe they're just locking in 5 FA years with a $38M option for the 6th FA year. It's still something close to $30M for each of the 5 FA years.
