He and Edsall would have been in Jacksonville around the same time, I think.

Looks like they overlapped in 1996/97.

Good signing. Shouldn't have been to hard to have a good pick of coaches. Who wouldn't want to work with guys like Stefon Diggs, Deon Long, Taivon Jacobs, Juwann Winfree, Marcus Leak, Nigel King, Amba Etta-Tawo, Levern Jacobs, etc.?

Now if they could just get a QB who can throw
C.J. Brown is more than capable of passing in this offense. His accuracy has improved immensely, and his ability to throw on the run is very good. He's a very good match for the offense that Locksley wants to run.
2013 Statistics (11 games, including FSU): 166/282 (58.9%), 2,242 yds, 13 TD, 7 INT; 140 rushes, 576 yds, 12 TD
His worst games came against Wake Forest and Syracuse, but he was still not 100% during those contests. He topped the 200-yard passing mark 6 times throughout the season, and only had two games (Wake and Syracuse) where he threw more INTs than TDs. He also threw 4 of his 7 INTs in those two games combined. And you have to remember that he only played 5 games with Stefon Diggs and Deon Long (That's 4 plus the approximately half game before the injury at FSU and the half game against Wake before Diggs' and Long's injuries).
I realize the games he played with Long and Diggs were mostly cakewalks, but during those games (including FSU and Wake) he went 87/137 (63.5%), 1,262 yds, 7 TD, 3 INT. And two of those three INTs came against Wake.
He may not be the best deep passer, but he did very well this season especially with all the injuries to the receiving corps. You also have to remember that Diggs and Long were in and out of the WVU game constantly with injuries. Once he gained relationships with the other receivers, he did much better. Take the NC State game for example: 13/25, 259 yds, 2 TD, 0 INT; 15 rushes, 138 yds, 3 TD.
He'll only get better next season.
