I loved borrowing or renting RBI Baseball, but I owned Bases Loaded. That's the game that will always stick with me, mostly because I loved the strangeness of playing with a team from Omaha.
I played a lot of the cleverly-titled Baseball for the Gameboy. In fact, I just dug out my Gameboy and played a little (still works!).
My favorite games were the later ones where you could change rosters. I loved Tony LaRussa III for that reason; you could make straight-up trades for any player. I used to trade, for example, Mark Smith for Barry Bonds. Between Bonds and the Beast Also Known As Chris Hoiles, I could drop 40 on some teams.
When I got a Playstation, I got MVP Baseball 2003, which I also liked. There was actual player development and roster/trade AI involved, though I could still, say, trade Sidney Ponson for Oliver Perez (who was ridiculous in that game: I got a lot of 18-3, 190 IP, 220 K, 1.80 ERA seasons from him).
I've always been a team-builder more than an game-player, so I've moved on to OOTP.

I used to crush NewMarketSean in RBI Baseball...
Some other great old games mentioned..., had most of them. Had MicroLeague Baseball on the C64. BaseballSimulator was fun... BaseballStars was great...

I can't remember if it was backyard baseball or little league world series baseball but 1 of them was quite good too.

Baseball Stars and Major League Baseball were my 2 NES baseball games.
Loved baseball stars b/c you could build your own team/create players or just play as a super-stacked team.
MLB was neat b/c it had most of all the real players plus it made that goofy sound when you'd hit a homerun completely out of the stadium that wouldn't even show the ball on the screen.
Lemme get two claps and a Ric Flair

Sure you did bud.
I remember staying up all night and simulating 1000 game seasons on Baseball Simulator 3000 at your dad's house. Good times.
I think Ken Griffey MLB on SNES was the best of the early baseball games. They had permission to use all team names, logos and even stadiums. But they had to use fake players.

Good times...
I'm picturing one weekend where I don't think we left Matt's house, playing RBI non-stop.. can still hear the music.
Chris Hoiles on Ken Griffey was a monster.

Major League Baseball got to the point where it wasn't fun...Used to score like 100 runs in that game.

You couldn't throw runners out from third base in that game.
