I'm hopeful for Gamboa, and regardless if he ever figures it out, utilizing Phil Niekro as they have to work with fringe pitchers bodes well for this organization. Kudos to Duquette on making this "thinking outside the box" decision.

Gamboa is a nice wildcard to have in the minors. He's a guy that is fine as like the 10th starter on the O's depth chart.
