^Agreed. Had some this past week after getting a case of NB at Costco.

Enjoyed it while having some homemade bison burgers, with bacon (of course).

Lemme get two claps and a Ric Flair

Anyone ever tried orange vodka as a substitute for triple sec in a margarita? I'm thinking about experimenting.

I can't wait to steam some crabs I caught using the FD Dead Rise, and then enjoying a few while I'm eating them. Good stuff.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Got some Boulevard KC Pils for tonight, and some Dekuyper for the weekend.  That was the cheapest Orange Liqueur I could find and that was still about $20, so we'll see how that goes in with my margarita.  Cointreau and Grand Marnier must cure cancer for as much as they cost.  I understand the appeal of a premium spirit, but there's good value in alcohol if you know how to look and that's a lot to ask for something that's pretty much just a mixer.

Forties on the same counter as the baby food. That might be the most Baltimore thing I've seen this week.

All it needs is some Natty Boh and Old Bay.

No Natty... but we did corn on the cob w/Old Bay. Delicious.

I'm sure this is going to be unpopular, but I like my burgers without bacon AND without cheese. I find that they distract from and muddle the flavor of the meat, which is fine if you're eating blah meat, but when you have good shit let it be the star of the show. Bit of ketchup, mayo, and sauteed onions is all I'll add.

Fire away.

Well wouldn't ketchup/mayo distract from the meat about as much as cheese or bacon?

It's much easier to control how much of a condiment goes on your burger than it is to control how much bacon or cheese go on. You're not likely adding part of a rasher of bacon or a quarter-slice of cheese.

Plus, mayo keeps the bun from getting soggy.

No. Certain flavors complement others, some flavors enhance others, some flavors, while delicious themselves, steal more of the show. Cheese and bacon fit in the last category for me. Ditto what DJ MC said as well.

Eh, that's not the way I feel about these burger options. Cheese and bacon complement the burger to me. I think ketchup is just about as distracting from the taste of the burger as most cheeses or done bacon, but I'm good with all of them on there.

I'm not a big condiment guy.  I only enjoy ketchup with french fries, and I find mustard and mayo to be disgusting.

Totally nailed my margaritas.  Better than what I've paid for at the bar before.

Did you use the orange vodka instead of triple sec?

I thought about it, but I went with the orange liqueur.  They were about the same price.

Made my drink of champions with a slight twist: Captain Morgan White Spiced Mojitos.  It's more muted than the stuff I usually use, which I thought was odd.  Still tastes fantastic though.

There was a nice Chimay set at Costco that I picked up, so I'll be getting my Trappist Ale on later this week.  Definitely something to look forward to.  I haven't had this monastery's yet either, so that's exciting.  I'm sure it will be excellent.
