Don't think she qualifies.

Fruitvale Station is legit. Strong recommendation from me. Surprised Michael B Jordan and Octavia Spencer aren't getting any awards buzz. Anyone else seen it yet?

Saw it. Very good and upsetting. Jordan is going to be a megastar. So likeable.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Sorry. Lame attempt at a joke for actors/actresses.

Meryl Streep....best actor ever?

Maybe the actress most recognized for her performances. My issue is she only seems to do movies for awards. When's the last time she played a normal person where she didn't ham it up.

Would Daniel Day Lewis be a good comp for Streep?

Yeah I think so, just less prolific. Good call.

Seems like she's always in average movies that stand out due to her performance. It'd be nice to see her in a movie with some real Best Picture buzz.

I thought Doubt was great, but yeah, she seems to do a lot of just good movies. DDL however, does fewer movies, but they're usually great. Both rarely do movies where they aren't a good bet to be nominated, but that's partially because they're just fantastic and have such a great reputation.

Sounds like the anti NRA movie she's going to be in will make some waves and it seems like a movie that will get nominated on its subject matter alone.

Well now Rob is going to withdraw consideration for her being the best ever.

116 award wins, with 172 nominations for Streep.

That includes 3 best actress Oscars and 17 best actress nominations since 1979...also had a best supporting actress nomination in that time frame as well.

She also has 28 GG nominations and 8 wins.

Crazy "stats" there.

Streep is great, but after what Daniel Day Lewis did in Lincoln, no one can ever touch him.  He was amazingly convincing in that role.

Doubt was a very good movie, probably her best in recent memory. The Weinstein Company needs to get David O'Russell to direct a movie with both Streep and DDL and call it a year.

She plays crazy well. Her role in this movie and American Hustle are so similar, IMO. She's great.

Also... white leggings. Yes, please.
