The 4 per year rule for NFL is stupid.

If we accept that a kicker can get in, I can't really argue with any of those. I'll squabble that Suggs is more deserving than Kuechly or Vinatieri, but they're all Hall of Famers.

Agree with all this. And yeah there's no reason to artificially limit, vote in the people who you think are hall of famers.
I don't really care much about halls of fame these days, but I do like when the guys I rooted for get the honor. Hopefully making the finals bodes well for them making it eventually. There's always going to be a few no doubters every year so you gotta be that 3rd or 4th guy. Next year Gronk and Adrian Peterson are probably those guys, Roethlisberger will make it though maybe not first ballot. Richard Sherman will make it eventually too.

I think Kuechly got the nod because he retired fairly young and still in his prime. Being a great player and having to retire young and in your prime has an aura to it.
I think you're right but I think the voters got it wrong on several counts.
The biggest snub was the Hoodie, but IMO both Suggs and Yanda had better and longer bodies of work then Kuechly and maybe Craig. I also think putting a kicker in over all 3 was a stretch. JMO, but there are some voters who should not be voting.

Kind of like Dick Butkus or Gale Sayers.

Fwiw Craig was the veterans committee or whatever football calls it, so he wasn’t competing with Suggs and YandaI think you're right but I think the voters got it wrong on several counts.

Vinatieri's a no brainer. 4 rings and big time clutch kicks all throughout the playoffs and super bowls.

Been nice if he'd have missed a few in that playoff vs. the Ravens.

Was about to say you have your games mixed up and then I remembered the 5 he kicked for the Colts.

Yeah he could have missed two, unfortunately.
