Is it just me or does NYG always play the Cowboys in week 1?

My early upset special is Carolina over Seattle and Jacksonville over KC. Especially with those teams at home.

Not buying the KC hype this offseason.

GB and SF is big right away.

Lot of large expectations for Atlanta this year. New Orleans could make an early statement with a home win.

I'll be watching the week 1 slate in Vegas.  Open to any gambling suggestions.

Minnesota at Detroit interests me some. I want to see if Detroit can bounce back this year.

It seems that way. Cowboys and Redskins have played a lot in Week One as well. I'm not sure if the NFL tries to play divisonal opponents more in Week One, but it's bound to happen more just because you play twice with them to begin with.

Week One is always the hardest for pick'ems and even moreso with Survivor league. IIRC, someone else (probably Chris) ran the BSL pick'em league last year. I'll do the Survivor one, unless someone else wants to do it.

For everyone on Cincy's bandwagon, they have a solid test going on the road to Chicago week 1. I know the Bears are nothing special but when they're healthy, and they should be week 1, they're usually pretty good.

Indy and Pitt look like fairly safe pick 'em bets.

Yeah I'd say Indy, looks like a super-safe bet on paper. I still hate week one though for this.

Not really upset specials IMO. Seattle is a 2.5 point favorite and KC is a 3 point favorite.

Im guessing Carolina will be a 4ish point underdog...could be a good play.

A lot of big games early...Atl/NO, GB/SF, Sea/Car, Cin/Chic and NE/Buff...that could be interesting to see if Buffalo can beat NE finally when NE is trying to get used to their new weapons lack of old ones(assuming no Gronk).

Yeah, I think that is a good call Sean. I believe in the Bengals talent, but the Bears at home won't be a pushover.

Green Bay over Houston I think SD is the surprise team this year.

Houston had their chance the last 2 years, especially 2011, then their QB's got hurt.

I'm going to play homer and say Ravens over Packers.

Giants over Patriots. And if it comes true and those teams meet for the third time in seven years I might burn all my NFL gear and jump straight into jai alai or something.

Survivor pool...

Do you waste a pick on the Patriots already playing against an undrafted rookie QB, or take a shot with Houston over San Diego? In the one I'm in you can re-buy once up to week 5. So would you take even more of a chance and go with Tampa Bay over the Jets, or Arizona over St. Louis?
