City vs Madrid is like Yankees vs Red Sox.  I just want both to lose.

I hate to admit it, but I want City to win. They're the best team in the world and deserve this trophy, Real Madrid got lucky in ten different ways last UCL, and neither of the Italian teams are close to the best 4.

Well City is headed home and a 70% favorite to advance.

Milan vs Milan today and I wish them both well but I don't see either of them beating City or Real.

I don't think after today's display that there is any argument one could make that Man City isn't the best club team on the planet. Does that guarantee a UCL trophy. No because shit happens in one off matches. But in no universe is Inter Milan in the same class as Man C.

And frankly, neither is Real Madrid. Delighted to see their insane run of luck despite being outplayed in the UCL for two years run out.

De Bruyne can only make it through 35 minutes before having to come out. Looks like it's his hammy.

Still no score so far.

Wasn’t pretty, but MC pulled it off 1-0 over a very game Inter Milan squad.

They’re just the 8th European club (on 10 different occasions) to win the treble, and just the 2nd English team to do so (Man U, 1998-99). Pep Guardiola becomes the first manager to do it multiple times, having done it at Barcelona in 2008-09.

The mark of a very good team. Win when they have an off day.  Now Pep has only one thing left to prove. That he can take a decent National team and make them a legit world class side.

Come on Pep the USMNT is calling.....lol

The draw for this seasons UCL is today. It will be shown on Paramount+ starting at noon EDT. First group stage matches start Sept 19th and I'll have a preview posted just prior to that.

Best football on the planet is back soon!

Group F:  PSG, Dortmund, AC Milan and Newcastle

If they stay healthy we could see Pulisic and Reyna square off.

Today! Huge match for both sides but especially Milan. They must get at least a draw and realistically they need 3 points today.  Pulling for Pulisic and AC over Reyna and Dortmund.

Here's what the final match day looks like. A bunch of teams are already advanced and a bunch are needing some work to do today or tomorrow....and in a lot of cases some help.

Pulisic became the first American to score a goal (from a slick pass from Giroud) for 3 different clubs in Champions League play in helping Milan win yesterday.  Unfortunately it was not enough to help them advance to the knockout round.
