St. Bernardus Christmas Ale.
Just got a 4 pack at the Wine Source! Favorite winter beer and possibly my favorite beer of any season.
Also picked up Saison Diego for the first time. Looking forward to that.

Picked up the Full Tilt Bergers Stout over the holiday. I must said it was quite enjoyable. Smooth and easy drinking.
How much does it taste like the cookies? I have an aunt who loves them and an uncle who loves unique beer, so Ithought it might be an interesting combined Christmas gift.

I actually didn't like it as much as the St Bernardus 12.

I had some at Alewife this weekend. It's a chocolate stout. I didn't detect any of the cookie fudge. It would have been nice if it did have just a hint of sweetness the way that Sweet Baby Jesus does have some chocolate and peanut better hints in it.

Different strokes for people who are wrong.

Pretty much what NMS said. No berger cookie taste really.
I'll second that.

So I went to my local alcohol-peddling establishment to try and find the Berger Cookie Stout, but they had sold out. So I took a slight step outside of my comfort zone and bought some Heavy Seas Winter Storm. Not bad.

I live up on the other side, so I go to Ronnie's Beverage Warehouse. Works for me, since they have way more than I'll ever need for anything.

Shiner Holiday Cheer. Not bad. Can't drink too many of them though. Filling and sweet but a good, different Christmas beer.
Surprised you think that's a filling beer. It definitely has a sweet taste to it, but I don't think it's too filling. I can probably throw down 4 or 5 of those without much of a problem. Best thing about Shiner Cheer is that it's usually only 8 or 9 bucks so It's a little bit on the cheaper side.
I tried the Berger Cookie Stout over the weekend, I thought it tasted like a Chocolate Stout to me. I couldn't really taste any "cookie" It was a decent beer but nothing great.

Maybe I just wasnt in the mood to drink when I was drinking it. Maybe it was the nutty sweetness that kept me from it.
I'll try again this weekend.

Dogfish Head Sixty One, new IPA with syrah grapes infused in. Really enjoyed it. Something different for sure so I'm curious to hear what others think.

It was meh to me when I had it in the summer.
DirtWolf and The Truth are two great relatively new double IPAs. Victory and Flying Dog respectively.

I am not a huge Flying Dog fan but The Truth is a great beer.
