Based on what. MD has to be one of the 5 worst bowl teams this year.

 

 

 

Can I play the line set by BSL posters instead of Vegas please.

 

Based on the fact that MD still has better talent than Marshall, even with the players who are injured and on the shelf. Based on the fact that the game is being played in Maryland (though a drivable distance for Marshall fans).

With the MD injuries, the talent difference isn't extreme, but MD should still be favored.

Marshall has a good, diverse offense... CUSA has decent athletes... Everyone saying Marshall hasn't played anyone good aside from VaTech is basically right.... but they did play other competitive teams, other teams with some talent. Such as Ohio, UTSA, Florida Atlantic, East Carolina, and Rice.

 

If MD isn't ready to play when the game kicks off... if they are not into it mentally, Marshall has enough offense to beat MD.  If MD practices well over the Month, and is motivated to get their 8th win... they will win, and win convincingly.

 

As far as MD being one of the worst 5 bowl teams... no, their not. Probably 12 teams I'd fairly easily take MD over, and there are another 7-8 tames of comparable talent.

 

 

 

I'd be irritated by a loss, and fairly ambivalent with a win. It would be good to win an 8th game. It would be annoying but inconsequential if they lost. Overall though, MD's already won. They've got the extra practice time... they get to tell the 2014 recruits they are closing with, they improved and went to a bowl. Same thing as they fully turn the page to the '15 class.

Based on the fact that Marshall played no one. Their best game was losing in OT vs. VaTech... that is fairly impressive... but less so when they lose to Ohio, Middle Tennessee and Rice. 

And yet, they are still favorites. Installed as the favorites.

Maryland will not receive distributed bowl revenue from ACC

 

Even though its football team has qualified for the Military Bowl, the Maryland athletic department will not receive any of the ACC’s distributed postseason revenue as the conference continues to withhold funds, including money earned from bowl games, from the soon-to-be-departing member because the situation surrounding its exit fee has yet to be resolved.

The Terps should stop wearing the ACC logos on all their uniforms and remove them from all the fields/courts. Why advertise for a conference that isn't sharing any revenues with you?

Terps will be wearing their "White Ops" uniforms for the bowl game. They're 1-1 in them this season (loss @ FSU, win @ VT).

Awesome news. I kinda wish they'd tried for a medical redshirt, but with Marshall's passing attack, they need all the help they can get at corner. Having 3 really strong corners will be big: Johnson, Goins, and Likely. A.J. Hendy should see a decent amount of the field as well as the nickel back along with Goins.

I thought a Medical was possible as well... had it wrong....   Pete Volk (Testudo Times) told Lance the rationale of why it wasn't possible.. forget all of the reasons, but point remains. Sucks that this was a lost year for Johnson, but at-least he gets some game time.

Maryland said Friday that it had sold about 7,000 of its allotment of 10,000 tickets.

Marshall, which got 7,500 tickets, had sold a little more than 3,000, according to the school.

 

The schools' figures don't account for all of the tickets sold. Tickets are also available through the bowl game; officials declined to say exactly how many have been purchased.
