The "Don Draper Fingerbang Threat Level" is one of the highlights of my Mondays. I'm pretty sure Mark Lisanti must have an alias on a slash fiction website somewhere.

Seriously? No talk about last night's episode? Ginsberg went crazy and cut off his freaking nipple!

I'm loving this season so far and what you reference has nothing to do with that.

Me too. That wasn't remotely the best scene in the episode, but it's the scene Mad Men always has (the lawnmower, Ken on the receiving end of the Dick Cheney, etc.) that comes off as comic relief but is still an important part of the narrative.

I thought it was a great episode.

I love how good Sally is at saying the exact one thing that would piss Betty off the most.  Henry yelling "girls!" at the two of them was awesome.  Sally may be my favorite character.  Well, 2nd behind Roger.  Roger is obviously the best.

I was just telling my wife Sally might be my favorite character. Rare case of a child actor being good and staying good as they grow up.

This season has been fantastic! The computer stuff being the weakest, hope they can make it work.

A great review, to a great episode.

Yes it was. That scene with Don and Peggy at the end, after Peggy had demanded Don show her how his mind works, then she came up with the new idea in the same way...very, very well done.

Anytime we get to see Pete Campbell acting like a four-year-old is also a bonus.

It was great to see Don and Peggy reconcile, but it's concerning that he was drinking in the office. That may come back to bite him.

They were also drinking in Lou's office.

I wonder if that's where they are headed next week: Lou discovers that some of his alcohol is missing (and they did make a point of discussing the tiki bar last night), confronts Peggy, who tells him about her and Don working on the idea while drinking, which gives the agency cause to either fire him outright or let him quietly go to McCann-Erickson.

The only thing that would have made that episode better would be, when Jim met Roger and Joan in the office after the news on Bert, him asking Roger how he's feeling and Roger saying, "Not great, Jim!"

I really loved this season and honestly have no issue with it being shortened. The reasons are dumb but I'm a fan of seasons of 13 or less. Tell your story, I have no need for filler in most cases. Although with Mad Men I probably could watch it every week year round.

Rank the seasons?

5
7.1
1
6
3
2
4

I did not care for the song at the end, but that's basically my only criticism of that episode.

The seasons have blended together for me, so I can't rank them individually. But the first half of this season was pret-ty darn good.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

I agree. I thought Don was having a stroke. Weird note to end on but very minor complaint overall.
