Momentum is so overblown. Did OSU have the momentum after they took the lead? How about when they went up 35-21 after trailing 21-14? Anyway, I'm good with the call.

Yep...great call. Was thinking the whole time that they should go for it.Think it was the right call... Michigan could not stop OSU at all. Go for broke. Love the call. Hate the outcome.OSU... overrated in a big way.
Why not?
Mich couldn't stop OSU in OT..they had a better chance to convert the 2 pt conversion than they did getting an OT win IMO.

Listening to Brandt talk about how good football was in the 70s at MD made me think how that was really the golden age of MD sports, since Bball was so good then as well.
Wasn't around then, but I'd say early 2000s with the Final Fours and 10+ win seasons at the beginning of the Fridge era. Maryland admissions went way up as a result of this.

I for one am VERY happy that Ohio State won. We need a strong B1G, and having OSU in the championship game would bring some much needed prestige to the conference. I wouldn't expect them to win it, nor expect them to get lucky and actually play in it... but an undefeated and strong OSU helps Maryland as we move forward. BTW, good game by Maryland today... a strong win.

Don't think it helps Maryland anymore than a strong FSU helped them in the 90s, only matters IMO if Maryland is competitive, which I still don't know if they can be under Edsall. Personally, I'd rather see the best possible matchup in that game regardless, just as a sports fan without a real dog in the fight. I don't get behind the conference bandwagon stuff as much as some. Good to get the win today -- if you had told me before the season, they'd be 7-5 during the regular season, I'd say it was a good year. Even with the injuries, I think they should've won atleast 1-2 more games. Not sure the real impact of this win since they were likely going to the Military Bowl regardless. Will an extra win help them in terms of recruiting, maybe? In terms of building, long-term wise I don't put as much stock into that stuff as some.
