Peavy was downright nasty in his last start. This could be a tough one.
Yeah, he looked like the old Peavy. If I had to predict a game in this series for the O's to drop, it'd be this one. Still hoping for a W!

Hardy SS
Markakis DH
Jones CF
Wieters C
Chavez RF
Reynolds 3B
Davis 1B
Andino 2B
Interesting to see Markakis in the DH spot tonight. Also, Endy Chavez at 6?! He who is 1-15, and not known for his bat? He should be slotted in at 8th or 9th.
Edit: In 9 ABs against Peavy, Chavez has 3 hits. One of which is a triple. That's about it. Slash line of .333/.333/.889

Anyone know how many times Nick was the DH last year? Seems to me it doesn't happen very often. Maybe Buck thinks it could help him get out of his slump?
Nick's been the DH only 2 times over his entire career - one was last year.

Peavy seems like one of those big name pitchers that the Orioles just cannot hit.
I know what you mean, but we've only faced him one time and scored 3 runs off him on 6 hits and 2 BB's.

Just wanted to make note, Chris, I really like you starting the game threads the morning of the game. It gives us all a chance to post some thoughts leading up to the game and get the discussion going a bit earlier than game time.
Thanks Adam! Guess we will start early tomorrow, since it is an afternoon game.

Really impressed with the offense thus far. Wieters proving not to be a bust, (not saying he was a bust by any means) with his bat showing those Joe Mauer comparisons. I also really love the way Reimold is playing. He is just your typical guy who finally gets enough AB's to figure it out and as we can see, his power is finally showing. Reimold, Hardy, Markakis, Jones, Weiters makes for a damn solid first five.
Sure would like to see what this offense could do over an entire season, without significant injuries to any of the regulars. The depth of the lineup is pretty good. Also good to see you posting Nick!

Wow, interesting interview with Buck there. He likes the leadership on the team this season.
Missed it, what did he have to say?
