No defense. Could see that coming a mile away watching the UConn game.

 

You didn't need to watch the UCONN game to know this team would struggle with interior defense.  We all said all offseason that Alex Len would not be too tough to replace offensively, but defensively he would be sorely missed.  This team was not very good defensively last year but Alex cleaned up a lot of mistakes.  Even if he wasn't blocking shots he was altering them or deterring the opponent from coming inside.  An undersized Mitchell or out-of-position Cleare are not nearly as imposing.

And it's not like we have much of an interior offense either. We want to play inside out but Cleare and Mitchell aren't consistent or good enough post players.
