That's nice of Edsall to take the team on a field trip to watch a couple bowl teams. Maybe it'll motivate them for next year?

All joking aside here, just the extra practices are worth it more than the bowl itself IMO.

Very true.

Might be a down year for VTech, but lots of respect for what Frank Beamer has done there.

Has to be at-least one gadget play with Young today.

Good thing we got our White-Ops jersey's on today.  That'll make a difference.

Yeah, hardy-har-har there Mr. Announcer-guy.  You're so funny with your spectacular word play.

This is going to be a 40 point game I think.

VaTech going to control both lines.... make MD one-dimensional on offense... not enough weapons or time.

After the game we're going to have to hear a million comments of "Look at the score... not even competitive."

Which forces one into an uncomfortable situation of having defend Edsall with obvious commentary of... "Look who was on the field, and who was on the sidelines."

I hate this current circular discussion. So frustrating... really for both sides.

I'll throw you a solid and not be a broken record this week. I think the Wake game changed the tide for me, I'm no longer in Edsall's camp... but I've made my points clear, and there's no reason to keep regurgitating the same old argument every week.  And you're right, if you're being reasonable, you should mention the injuries. This is a very, very depleted roster at this point.

Yep same here.  The 'Cuse game was the turning point for me too.

I have trouble with both the Wake, and Syracuse games. Less with the Wake game (because I really respect Grobe, it was on the road, and you lost players during the game). The Syracuse game was very hard to defend at-all... at-home, coming off a bye, with additional time to prepare... and relatively healthy.

Even then though, you get back to the main points... there is no money to make a move unless Plank (who you can imagine is already on the hook for a large part of the indoor facility), is going to write the check necessary to buy out the $6M owed to Edsall (along with his Assistants), and then give the money necessary to hire someone else, and their Assistants.

With a secondary point that there is a pretty good 2 deep returning next year, and a chance to win some games (7-8) regardless of what league they are in.

Syracuse it was for me, but I'm not on the "Fire Edsall" bandwagon quite yet. Just if they fired him, I wouldn't be opposing it.

Yeah, I don't see it as feasible right now. In that regard, I don't even see the point in continuing to harp on it. At least it's generally constricted to one thread now.

So maybe they can stay in it, if they keep the Hokies out of the endzone... it would involve scoring however.

Yeah especially for a backup. I wanted to hear more of the backstory there. It must be really cool for that kid to be playing.

That's one of Zack's keys coming to fruition there... Limiting VTech to a FGA is a win given their ST's issues.

Great play from Brown there...

Every lineman is being beat on every play.
