At one point or another during the last few months, we have seen Mock Drafts connecting the following players with the Ravens:

Levy Adcock, OT, Oklahoma St.
Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
Kelechi Osemele, OG, Iowa State
Michael Brewster, C, Ohio State
Vontaze Burfict, ILB, Arizona State
Peter Konz, C, Wisconsin
Dont'a Hightower, LB, Alabama
Markelle Martin, FS, Oklahoma St
Mike Adams, OT, Ohio State
Mark Barron,S, Alabama
Amini Silatolu, OG, Midwestern State
Courtney Upshaw, DE/OLB, Alabama
Cordy Glenn, T/G, Georgia

Am I missing anyone? What player or position do you currently lean to? What 2-3 players do you think the Ravens will have available to choose from?

I think the best fit for us is Konz. He's one of the best Cs out there, and although Birk re-signed, he won't last beyond this year. Let Konz try playing guard this year as he learns the speed of the game, then move him back to C next year.

I'd love to see Hightower drop as far as us, but I doubt it. If he does, and if Konz is gone (and maybe even if he isn't), we have to grab him. He's Ray-Ray's long term replacement, IMO.

Konz or Hightower. Barron maybe.

I'll have a hard time arguing against whomever Ozzie ends up selecting, though.

Konz or any of the Bama guys.

Glenn sounds like he could be a good prospect as well.

I have heard good and bad about Konz. I really wouldn't be surprised or upset with that pick but i feel we can find some value later on for that spot. Honestly, i believe if Stephen Hill is sitting there, we can't pass up an oppurtunity to bring in a playmaker with his size and explosiveness. He is one of those very rare breeds and people are saying the same things about him as they did Torrey Smith which makes me believe it could work out well. It would make our offense that much more dangerous.

At the same time, if someone like Cordy Glenn is sitting there, I can get behind that pick too. My personal opinion is that we can find better value at guard. Why not wait until some cuts come through and see if we can sign one for a year or two and draft one in the future? Konz is not like Grubbs. I think Konz needs time to learn a little bit unlike Grubbs did.

So, in conclusion, I believe if a playmaker of Hill's ability is sitting there, we need to pounce. We need value and i just don't feel Konz is the value at that point. I'm not saying Konz won't be good, but i don't like it at this point. Let's open this offense up and make it even more dangerous. Either way, i won't be upset.

Cordy Glenn will not be there when we draft, but I would take him in a minute. He could be our LG this season, then take over for McKinney when he leaves after this season.

Yeah, that's why i said if he falls. I'm pretty much under the same thought process you are. IF he falls, it's a pick we need to make in a heart beat. I see Birk lasting 2 more seasons so there isn't a dire need to pull the trigger on Konz right now. If Jason Brown decides to sign back, which i don't see happening, it really makes things easier and would signal that were not drafting Konz.

My personal opinion is that Baltimore doesn't really want to take Konz. I think they want to get more explosive and give Flacco the tools he needs and really deserves and Hill would be that guy. As i said, i won't be disgruntled either way but Glenn would be the ultimate pick and steal if he fell to us but i don't see it happening.

Not that it means anything at all but I happened to see in SI that Peter King has the Ravens jumping to 23 ahead of the Steelers to draft Hightower. That is something I' recently said I could see the Ravens doing. My gut feeling, and apparently Peter King's, is that the Ravens covet Hightower.

Depending on how much we have to give up, I'd be fine with this. On the other hand, I'd also be fine with trading down for two 2nd rounders too.

Peter King says a 1st and a 3rd. There is absolutely no way Ozzie wants to part with a 3rd seeing as how we only have one. The only way he would make this move is A) Hightower comes in and plays outside linebacker right away until Lewis retires so there is more value in trading up for him or B) someone of great value and talent begins to slip, and every year there is one that does, and he feels he has to trade up to get him. Other than those situation, i don't see it happening and they'll let Hightower go wherever. I am still not completely sold on Pitt taking Hightower anyway. Their line is in shambles and that is a bigger need than linebacker. If Cordy Glenn is there or they can trade up a few spots, i feel thats the way they're going to go.

A guy I've really come to like a great deal is South Carolina WR Alshon Jeffrey. I believe that he'll be a very good pro and would add another solid weapon to our arsenal. Adding Jeffrey to Smith and Boldin would give the Ravens an outstanding trio. Though not especially fast, at 6'4-216 and with great hands, Jeffrey is a big target and a fantastic possession receiver with big-play potential. It'd be hard to pass over Peter Konz at 29, but Jeffrey would be a guy I'd be happy to see us do that for. I expect Dont'a Hightower will be gone by our pick, but I'd prefer him (barely) over both Konz and Jeffrey if he's there at 29.

I think we need to go C or LB in the first round.

I would get a big RB later in the rounds and focus on the lines with the earlier picks.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Can't disagree with you, obviously. A big back that I like a lot is Temple's Bernard Pierce. He has a chance to be very good.

Linked this article because I could see 3 of these guys as Ravens.

I think Upshaw would definitely be in play if he dropped to us in the 1st round, which some people are now predicting. Would fit right into JJ's old role.

I could see us moving down and drafting Still in the 2nd round as a value pick.

I could see us taking Michael Johnson in the 3rd. He's a Ravens type player for sure.
