Jones is 16 for 44 (.364 baa) in August, with 3 doubles, and zero homers.

Season: .298 baa, 24 hr's, 58 rbi's, 23 bb's, 78 k's, 28 doubles, 3 triples, .874 OPS

He has stolen 11 bases, but has been thrown out 6 times. With that type of ratio, he might as well stop running.

CSN Baltimore: "Adam Jones’ homerless streak has reached 84 at-bats. The longest stretch without a home run in his career was 108 at-bats from May 1-June 5, 2008."

If you would have told me Jones would have a longer homer draught, I would assume he was slumping badly. Nice to see that despite not having the power stroke working, he's not pressing and still getting on base. The power will return, eventually.

Really happy to see Jones get his 100th career HR. Great piece of hitting, with the opposite field shot.

Hopefully with Jones HR yesterday we're about to see a power binge from him. A couple this weekend wouldn't hurt!

Yesterday's seemed like one of those mammoth jobs he was doing with ease in April and May... We hadn't seen that for a couple months. Like you, I'm hopeful that he is about to put the offense on his back for the stretch run. That would be absolutely huge.

Jones is missing a lot of pitches he was crushing earlier in the year. Would not mind seeing him get a day off.

3 months in a row, Jones has had 28 hits. After dealing with the results of being hit, Jones had a .726 OPS in June. He rebounded to have a .816 OPS in July, but regressed to .684 in August.

Overall, he is at .768 after the All-Star break, after posting a .864 mark before.

The O's need him to finish strong.

Agreed. Usually in high leverage situations where he's being overly aggressive. That low and outside slider still haunts him.

Buck made a mistake and said how AJ is gonna punish P's after he got unstuck about dingers... and then somebody asked him if Buck was right, and AJ said yeah... so now he's trying to prove it. This is one time where Buck should've just kept his trap shut...

Jones with his 4th consecutive 2 hit game... including a homer to start the 8th, after the O's had coughed up the lead in top of the inning. Super clutch.

Adam's late game heroic are why he is the O's MVP.

He seems to be getting hot as we start the stretch run.

4 hits for Jones in Game 1 of the double-header, including his 32nd homer which was blasted deep to left.
