I was a huge proponent of Gordon Beckham during that draft. When he raced to the Majors, and produced in '09 as a rookie (even being moved to 2nd), I was very excited about his future prospects.

Not looking as good now, with '10, and '11 having been pretty brutal.

The thing with rushing these high prospects to the majors is that they tend to not be ready and fold under the pressure. That can't be said for players like Wieters, Strasburg and Stanton, but most of the time this is the case. I thought highly of Beckham but there was always something in the back of my head saying "I'm not 100% sure about this guy just yet." I have that thought on a lot of players though in every sport.

Really hoping MLBtv doesn't screw me again tonight. I'm eagerly looking forward to watching Chen pitch.

Lineup for tonight:

Chavez LF
Hardy SS
Markakis RF
Jones CF
Wieters C
Johnson DH
Reynolds 3B
Davis 1B
Andino 2B

Arrieta SP

Really don't understand giving Reimold back-to-back days off, unless I missed hearing that he is hurt. He hit very well in the first two games in Toronto.

Yeah, it seems weird to me too. Would have to think something is bothering him, right?

They said he could have played yesterday if needed, but had a tight hamstring.

Brittany Ghiroli ‏ @Britt_Ghiroli
Reimold is fine, said left leg cramp from sat isnt a big deal. Didnt know he wasnt even in lineup so no injury issue there.

Wieters was also rushed to the majors. Only had 693 minor league PA before being called up.

Love this line-up over the Sunday lineup. Put the bench players in periodically to keep them fresh but don't put four of them in the lineup at once. Hopefully Arrieta can shut them down for 7 innings or more and we score 4 or 5 runs and we should win.

Warehouse,

That's why i said the same can't be said about Wieters. He was one of the few exceptions.

Dunn sits down, looking at the curve.

Going to the 2nd, no score.
