Any chance he's just working on stuff and not worried about results?

Uh, yeah take him off the O's players section of this board cuz he isn't ever going to put on an O's jersey. Well, ok, he's on the 40 man. If he stays there I guess he could get some splinters in his ass come September.

Yeah, pretty disappointing for him to be overwhelmed at AAA, can only think he is not all the way back physiscally. Was looking forward to seeing him. Not happening.

Good for him. Had a great career in Japan. Had the injury last year, and is trying to get back pitching in an unfamiliar culture. After getting roughed up, and not having much success... would be easy to pack it in.... good to see him keep fighting to find his form. A few more of those starts, and he might be up.

Wada needs time and innings. I am sure the pressure on him to get back to where he was, is high. Maybe he gains arm strength and helps down the road.

I'm rooting for him. He can't possibly be worse than Arrieta.

I pitched one game in my life in little league and my first pitch I hit a guy in the head. He might be a little better than me.

Has he been optioned? Which would mean he agreed to it since his contract says he can't be without his permission?
His first minor league outing this year was 5/16. It's now 6/18. That's over 30 days, which I thought was the limit for pitchers on a rehab assignment.

Yes, he accepted the option on the 14th.

Good for him to be rational about it. Though the timing was good considering he had to make the decision immediately after completely crapping the bed his last time out.
Hopefully he can get some momentum going and he can help the team out in the pen or even as a spot starter. I don't have very high hopes for him, but crazier things have happened.

Following that start, he's now made two more:
6/23: 5 ip, 5 hits, 2 er, 2 bb's, 0 k's
6/29: 6.1 ip, 5 hits, 2 er, 1 hr, 2 bb's, 6 k's

Perhaps starting to round into form a bit. He really is someone to keep an eye on for August or September. I doubt they'll be in a hurry to bring him up since he agreed to be optioned, and given the log jam of guys similar to him at the moment. But if he keeps it up for another solid 4-6 weeks, I think his day will come and he could help the club.
