Disappointing but Canada deserved that.

A third place game, I guess they have to give out a Bronze, but it doesn't get much more unAmerican than that.

That joke got old yesterday, it was funny until the millionth person shared it thinking they created it.

Go Sweden!
Lundquist has been pretty money in this tournament, does he have one more in him?

At least it wasn't as heartbreaking as the gold medal game in Vancouver.

Yeah I guess, since they have Caps players, but I can't say I really care or plan to get up for it. I was looking forward to Sunday. Oh well.

Not sure, we had no business being in that, I was waiting for Parise to do the same thing. Couldn't we steal some Canadian hockey girls?

What a craptastic effort. The biggest stage in the world and they shat the collective bed. Good riddance.
Was Parise alive this tournament?

Ah well. Sucks to lose, but at least it was to Canada.
They deserve whatever scraps they can get

The most annoying thing is Canada played like complete dog crap the whole tourney until they drew us. I get that this is their Super Bowl but sheesh, this team almost lost to Latvia.

Admittingly I didn't pay too much attention to the Olympics outside of hockey, I'd watch it but mostly as background noise and wasn't too into it. Many concerns concerning these games, but I can't recall anything out of the ordinary happening atleast in terms of safety as was feared.
I've said this before, I like the idea of the Olympics -- the world coming together for two weeks with multiple sports competitions. But I just can't seem to get into sports, I don't care about it. I think the summer sports, I can relate to a little more not to mention, the US seems to be better represented here. That said, if the O's are relevant they'll have my attention like they did in 2012 and the Winter Olympics comes at a good time usually like it did this year between the Super Bowl and March Madness. Also, when the games are held away from this country/North America/nearby timezones, it just doesn't feel the same.

Glad nothing bad happened.
And since when did Russia get a sense of humor?

As I said earlier in the thread, all of those concerns would be forgotten once the Games started.
Well done by the Russkies all around.
Enjoyed the Olympics immensely, as always. I will literally watch any event I can if it's on TV, even the ones I whined about on here. They were extra special this year for me because my oldest son really enjoyed it. I struggle to find stuff that he and I have in common, and the Olympics provided that for us the past few weeks. We sat together every night and watched everything from bobsledding to figure skating to biathlon. Can wait for the 2016 Games in Brazil!

Yeah you were right, that's really cool that this can be a bonding experience for the two of you.
