Sabathia 2011: 19-8, 3.00 era, 237.1 ip, 230 hits, 17 hr's, 61 bb's, 230 k's, .666 OPS against, 0.97 G/F

Pitch F/X:

In the last 3 years against the O’s, Sabathia has gone 11-2, with 3.00 era. In his 93.1 ip, he has allowed 85 hits, 31 er, 7 hr, 23 bb’s, with 72 k’s. Can the O’s get to him, right away to begin ’12?

Tonight is also Round 2 for Arrieta. He had a big-time start on Opening Day. Can he follow that up, with another strong performance?

Now that Arrieta has gone and warmed up, they decide to delay the game.

This storm blew through here (Owings Mills) roughly 10-15 mts ago, it is already gone.

Hopefully the delay did not throw off Arrieta too much.

Arrieta quickly gets ahead of Jeter 0-2. Jeter punches the 3rd pitch down the RF line for a double.

Granderson does not miss that offering down the middle of the plate. 2-0 Yankees.

Arrieta gets ahead of Cano 1-2, Cano takes ball 2 inside, and ball 3 down low.

Stuff was/is there, the location to Granderson was bad. Hurt that Jeter had reached.

MASN just showed Tex turned 32 today. He grounds out to Andino to end the 1st.

I'm 33 in August. Remember hearing about Tex in HS. Even though I'm roughly the same age, it is strange thinking of him being on the down side of his career.

Just a little hail followed by Granderson crushing a baseball. Solid start to the evening

Arrieta is going to need to hold NY scoreless for multiple innings.
