Camden Depot's Nick Faleris (Stotle) with insight of what this exactly means. My initial inclination was to like this move. I thought Duquette's explanation that less eye-balls were needed for evaluation of established professional players made sense. I also liked the idea that the Amateur side would get some additional help.

Faleris brings up numerous reasons of why this move could fall flat for the O's.

It could...but at the end of the day, a makeover is needed.

This organization is awful in all aspects and DD is trying to change that.

This move by Duquette is important because it signifies that he has shaken up the Orioles warehouse and sent them packing into the field. It is much more about getting rid of the people who helped preside over their ineptitude in AM's tenure---including his young nephew...

Duquette understands Peter Angelos' sense of loyalty to these people so instead of getting into a conflict with him right away, he reassigned them.
