Yeah I think they end up with Melo and a few number ones. I wish the Wiz could get on as a third team and unload a bad contract lol.

Edit I know I am ruining it but I think it's hilarious how everyone is just straight ignoring one poster.

A deal centered around Love for Melo makes some sense and is fair, even though I think Cleveland should get some more value out of that,

Kyrie is vastly more valuable than Melo, so while the picks may be enticing, if they want to win now, they should deal him elsewhere while potentially also making the Love for Melo deal.

BTW, Windhorst said that Kyrie considered asking for a trade after they won the title!

Again, the main thing coming out of these reports is that Kyrie wanted to be the man.

Yep.  Great deal for Cleveland and you can argue that they are in better shape to beat GS this coming season and are likely going to be ok long term.

Great trade for Bos. They shouldnt lose the EC. They traded high on Isiah. They  played better without him in the playoffs.  Cle did well to get more than just him but if he's the centerpiece of a trade for Irving you have to do it.

The centerpiece is that Nets pick.  Although, if it falls out of the top 5, that certainly makes it not as good.

Crowder being a good perimeter defender is big for them too.

That trade still keeps Cle as the favorite in the East but the gap is closed and if at least one of Boston's young players becomes a legit AS level player, Boston has a good shot to unseat them.

Cavs are still better than the Celtics.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Makes Cleveland / Boston that much more interesting.

I liked the rumored Suns offering better than this... but Rob right, that Nets pick is huge.

Nets pick ain't helping them this year. Thomas is  overrated. Cle isnt  better than last year as of today nor better than Boston as of today.

That is your opinion. I disagree though. Crowder is very underrated and will help the Cavs tremendously with him Lebron AI will not be so much of a hazard to have on the floor.

Lebron is the defacto point guard on the team is why Irving did not like playing with him so much. It moves AI to a shooting guard type which he will excel at.

Well you can't evaluate the trade overall without factoring in that pick.

That said, I agree that Boston sold high on Thomas... and that Boston is better off with Irving vs. Thomas.

Thomas is a capable scorer though, and since Irving doesn't play any defense...  for 1 year, it's pretty much a wash there.

Crowder a useful piece though.

If Thomas' hip is healthy, then I like the deal for Cleveland and can see where they may be better right now, never mind after whatever they get with Brooklyn's pick.
