Obviously very early, but he's been mashing this year. Gotta love that from a fairly young guy at A+.
What's crazy is he was born 6 days after Manny Machado.

Bash Brothers at it again, as Walker has a big 3-run bomb in FRD tonight. For a team that couldn't manage to develop ANYTHING in the infield for years, all of a sudden, Manny-Schoop-Delmonico-Walker looking pretty positive.

Does Delmonico not play everyday? He doesn't have that many at bats.
He's hurt again

Damn..health is becoming an issue for him already.

You've definitely got to be happy with how Delmonico has looked at the plate this year. Here's hoping he can stay healthy for the rest of the season...put the hamstring issues behind him.

Looking at Delmonico's splits, nothing jumps out at you, which is great. He's hitting righties, lefties, day/night, road/away, it's good to see. He's just a hitter.
I think the real question for Nicky long term, is does he stick at 3B (and move Manny to SS), or is he not going to cut it? The CD article Stoner linked above mentioned his range was lacking a bit, side-to-side, so I'm interested in hearing what others have seen from him at third.

.308/.417/.664 in 107 at bats this year with 10 HR, 8 2B, 20 BB, and 29 K
He would lead the league in OPS if he qualified and he's tied for 3rd in HR. They really need this guy to stay healthy because those stats look pretty good.

Little mini-slump for Delmonico - only a walk and a single in his last four games.
He's the guy I check in on the most in the minors. Love what he's done since we signed him. If he can continue his solid season at Frederick, maybe he gets to Bowie by the end of the season. If he starts next year at Bowie, especialy if he's had a bit of experience at the tail end of 2013, then he may have a shot of getting to Baltimore late in 2014. Getting a bit ahead of myself, though.

I agree with this. His biggest obstacles appear to be health and defense. If he can be a serviceable defender at 3B that would really be a boost to the O's future. Could you imagine a 2015 team with C Wieters, 1B Davis, SS Machado, 3B Delmonico and 2B Schoop? Wow.
