I went with the Steelers trying to save better teams like NE, DEN, SEA, etc. for later.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

Colts were the obvious pick today, IMO. Still almost lost.
Yep...because they aren't obvious any other game of the year..except the JVille games.

I always try to go with a safe pick in week one and even that is far from certain. I had the Colts but I almost picked the Pats. I get wanting to save picks for later, but I think in week one you can use one of your primary bullets.

Big difference in a fun league and a money league. Went with Colts in my money league.

Like any form of gambling, I agree with that. One reason I don't do any real Survivor leagues atleast with my current situation, is it's too much to risk IMO. With fantasy football, I can have a bad week and it's not a killer. I'd be beside myself if I had real money running on it. I don't think my strategy really changes though, I still do what I think is best to win. I might spend more time dissecting the various possibilities

Down to 6... first week, I've had a difficult choice to make and there's no pick I feel really confident in making.

Minnesota killed me. Had Seattle until the last minute and got greedy and decided I wanted to hold onto them.

I almost went with Minnesota because of the Richardson trade ultimately decided on Denver to save Seattle for another week.

Congrats to Rob on winning the Survivor pool -- not to take anything away from him, but hopefully next year we have the winner decided later in the year.

Yep...that's why I was surprised that it was already over.

If it makes you feel any better, the Jets knocked me out in week one. Stupid Jets.
