Lots of talk this morning about Redskins backup QB Kirk Cousins, but I bet San Diego's Brad Sorensen was another backup QB who likely opened some eyes last night.

The 2013 7th rounder out of Southern Utah was 8 for 11 for 86 yards and a TD competing against fellow 3rd stringers in the 4th. Showed some touch, and Fouts was talking about his footwork being strong, and how the 6'5 230 lb QB showed good presence in the pocket.

CSN Washington: Former Maryland QB Frank Reich promoted to Chargers OC

“With Frank as offensive coordinator, we will be able to maintain continuity on offense and help maximize the production by Philip and the entire unit,” head coach Mike McCoy said in a statement. “He has a great feel for the offense we have created and he has been a valuable asset to Philip [Rivers] and all of the quarterbacks.”

ESPNChargers, city open talks on stadium

The Chargers' propose to build a $800 to $900 million, football-only facility downtown east of Petco Park -- home of Major League Baseball's Padres -- that could seat as many as 70,000 for Super Bowls.

Funding for the new stadium would include contributions from the Spanos family and the NFL, along with selling and developing 166 acres of city-owned property that Qualcomm Stadium sits on, and another 100 acres of city-owned property that houses the San Diego Sports Arena site, for the city's contribution.

Serving as a back drop for the Chargers' effort to build a new stadium in San Diego is the possibility of an NFL team relocating to the lucrative Los Angeles market. The Chargers are keeping a watchful eye on what happens in Los Angeles, with 30 percent of the team's premium sales - which includes advertising, sponsorships, club seats and suites - originating in the Los Angeles market

Of the 3 teams deemed most likely to relocate to LA (San Diego, Oakland, St Louis) the Chargers are the team I'd most like to see stay put. It would be great if they could work this out....as I also think a good stadium would put San Diego in the "regular rotation" to host Super Bowls, like New Orleans.

Yahoo: Chargers' Nick Hardwick is latest retired lineman to drop massive weight

http://sports.yahoo....-221433702.html

I remember about a decade ago, hearing an interview with Kyle Turley, who was a free agent at the time. He said that when he stopped doing the serious workouts over the offseason, and the eating with it, he dropped something like 50 pounds instantly. And, he knew that if a team was interested in signing him, he could put it back on just as quickly.

This also probably could go in the "How many do PEDs" thread, too.
