Sure the Ravens are looking forward to hitting someone else.

I remember last year you changed it as soon as the preseason schedule was announced because you couldn't stand to look at the last game, this year, exact opposite! Like it!

Yet, it's been the shortest wait of any team other than the 49ers!

It's great being the Champs!!

For those outside the Baltimore broadcast area, NFL Network is replaying the game Saturday at 10am ET.

I haven't looked at the rest of the preseason schedule, but I'm guessing most people on here are happy about the lack of conflict here. The old joke used to be whenever there was a preseason NFL conflict, you had your choice of "meaningless games." Last year, O's/Ravens fans got lucky with no real conflicts once the NFL season started. Obviously the first Ravens regular season game is a conflict, I need to see the rest of the calender though.

Surprised they are going all the way to Tampa to play a preseason game.

Do they have a choice? Every trip is long for Seattle. Do agree they should play the Eagles and Skins most preseasons.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Like Pedro said it could be worse. They used to play preseason games in Japan, Europe, and what not, way farther than going to Florida. In a perfect world, you'd be playing all the teams around you, NOT on your schedule that year and definitely regional rivals (Redskins in the Ravens case).

Playing a football game, full pads, in August, in Tampa.

Have fun.

Is there a more anticipated sporting event than the first preseason game football than only to be met with the reality it's ONLY "preseason" football?

There is enough with this team to have me interested. Preseason matters more this year, than it did last year for instance.

No doubt. I just hope people aren't freaking out either way (positive, or negative), when the new defense does whatever it does. I'm excited to see how they do, but am much more intrigued by the rookies at this stage.

I'm really interested in seeing Deonte tonight.  I was fortunate enough to attend practice on Monday and Thompson was the best receiver on the field.  Torrey had a great day as well but you couldn't help but come away impressed with DT.

He reminded me of a young Hines Ward.

Preseason records mean nothing, the Lions were 4-0 IIRC during their 0-16 season. And I think they're have been a bunch of SB champs either 1-3 or 0-4. Don't worry if the Ravens lose by a lot, they're will be freaking out. I just care about injuries since my main focus is fantasy football. That statement applies to all the NFL not just the Ravens.
