After doing previews on the offensive line and wide receivers, next up is the defensive backfield. With names like McDougle, Johnson, and Goins, the cornerbacks will be very good for the Terps this season. The hope is that with a year of experience under their belts, the young safeties can step up and form a very good defensive backfield for Maryland's defense this year.

I've added the link to my preview on Jeremiah Johnson. Within the preview, I wrap up the cornerback position, and take a closer look at Isaac Goins.

Yeah, this is not good. As good as William Likely is, Johnson showed the ability to lock down the best receivers in the ACC. Now your 4th CB is Alvin Hill, who I wouldn't trust with much. They also have freshman Jarrett Ross, who could play a role this season after all. Depth is thin at CB right now. Likely has the talent, and will probably suit up as the #2 CB, as Goins is more of a nickel back.
