As more time passes and we keep hearing more and more of these "threats" from Reed the more likely I find it that Reed and the Ravens part ways after 2012. At this point, I'll be surprised if he is a Raven in 2013 and not the other way around.

I know you definitely need to consider the source, but Preston was on with Ed Norris this morning and said Harbaugh would have cut him 2 years ago if he could. I don’t agree that would be the right move, but you know Harbaugh hates this whining and distraction every year. Personally I love Reed as a player but get tired of this as well. All that said, with Suggs being out we absolutely need Reed back there on Sundays to try to make one more run before we get younger. The thing I am most afraid of is if we let him leave after this year, you know the Patriots will be all over him next offseason.

Not Reed's best moment.

Yawn. I seriously could care less about Reed at this point. I mean if he plays I know he is an asset that will still help this team but it's obvious at this point that this is his last year here as a few of us have been speculating for awhile now. So if he holds out or "retires" whatever. Time for everyone to move on.

Yeah, I'm pretty much there with you. Just hope the year can be a good one for him and the Ravens... and that the parting can be as amicable as possible. Don't want a distraction during the year, or bitterness afterwards.

I just don't like the way a lot of things seem to be headed this year. A ton of distractions and we have a very tough schedule. Of course we also are already dealing with a huge injury to Suggs and TC hasn't even started yet. It all just feels ominous. Reed really is contributing to all the issues we already have and it's not neccessary. Youre getting 7 mil this year(I believe I heard that was his '12 salary), just go play out the final year of your deal and go get as much money as you can on the FA market next year. His act is really, really bothering me. Especially this year, right now. Otherwise, I'd be a lot more likely to just let him blow off his steam. And I'm willing to bet all of this is the last straw for Oz, Bischotti and Harbaugh as well. I would bet heavily they make nothing more than a token effort to bring Ed back, if they even do that.

I just try to ignore everything Ed Reed says or does during the off-season.

I voted no, but Ed is as predictable as the weather, so who can say for sure. Ed has been one of the highest paid safeties ever in the NFL but seems to feel unappreciatted.
I watch Ed's on field efforts and try not to read or listen to his off Field stuff.
