Caleb is going to be insanely good. Great hire by Chicago. Great decision by Johnson. Good on him to wait it out and find the right situation. Bears aren’t very far off at all.

The Jaguars likely would have given Ben Johnson a quicker shot at success, but their decision to keep GM Trent Baalke came back to bite them. No one wants to work with that guy, and particularly not someone with other options like Johnson.

An interesting hire to watch for sure.  No question Johnson can scheme, but lots of guys can scheme but not be the head guy.  That's more of a CEO/personality thing.

 

I'm not a huge fan of Williams but he was in a not-ideal spot for sure.  Will be interesting to see how he rebounds.

 

But all in all I'm just not impressed with the Bears FO.  They've got an organization issue there, not just a coaching issue.
