Seems like a lot but the Bears were already my dark horse for this year. This can’t hurt.

This is what happens when you have a QB making no money.

They also signed Allen Robinson.

Schefter:

Trade official, source tells ESPN:

Bears get: Khalil Mack, a 2020 second-round round pick and a conditional 2020 fifth-round pick.

Raiders get: 2019 first-round pick, 2020 first-round pick, 2020 third-round pick, 2019 sixth-round pick.

So Bears get back second-round pick, too

Mack is terrific but the 2019 and '20 picks could easily both be Top 10 overall. Maybe higher. The late round picks kind of cancel out but I look at the 2nd and 3rd round swaps as the Raiders moved from the 2nd down to the 3rd to pick up an extra 1st rounder. I think they made out extremely well here.

Schefter:

Khalil Mack and the Bears just reached agreeement on a record-setting 6-year, $141 million extension ($23.5M per year avg) that includes $90M guaranteed and $60M at signing, source tells ESPN.

Mack is the new highest-paid defensive player in NFL history.

And they didn’t have to give him a record setting deal..deals where teams give guys and then rarely (if ever)!win SB.

Oakland did great here. I find it funny how many National people are slamming them for this deal. The art of building a team is lost on so many people.

Interesting to me on a personal level that the two guys getting the crazy huge deals recently are Donald and Mack.
