Ryne Sandberg and Larry Bowa from the Phillies to the Cubs for Ivan DeJesus. One of baseball's all-time Beads-for-Manhattan trades.

He was also their first ever draft pick.  The Boston Patriots drafted Jordan in the AFL draft and traded his rights to the Dallas Texans (now the Chiefs) but he chose to sign with the Cowboys partially because he didn’t think the AFL would last.

I thought Dallas participated in drafts prior to 1963, the year they took Jordan. They weren't part of what should have been their initial draft in 1960 since the franchise was approved too late for them to take part.

You are correct.  I confused Jordan with Bob Lilly, which is something I’ve done a lot over the years.

Polly Walker, who played Flo on "Alice".  For a brief time in the 70's her catchphrase, "Kiss my grits", was right up there with "Dy-no-mite" and "You can call me Ray or you can call me Jay".

Captain Defense, Wes Henson passed away.

He was a superfan.  I met him at training camp and also down in Tampa when the Ravens played there the time before last.

Good Guy and he loved the Ravens.

RIP Captain D.
