Former NFL offensive guard Conrad Dobler, 72. He was once heralded by Sports Illustrated as "Pro Football's Dirtiest Player," a title he didn't exactly dispute.

I think he enjoyed the reputation.   RIP.

Damn, Raquel Welch dying makes me feel aged.  One of, if not the, sexiest woman to ever live, even into her later years.

I think he enjoyed the reputation.   RIP.

Dave Butz spoke about him at an alumni breakfast in West Virginia one year.

I found a good interview in the post about his views on Dobler.

Hall of Fame NFL (and CFL) coach Bud Grant, 95. Grant led the Vikings to four Super Bowls from 1969 to 1976, but his teams lost all four times, a post-season un-record he shares with Don Shula, Marv Levy and Dan Reeves.

He was a legend.  The playoff game against Seattle where he came out at 90 years old for the coin toss in like a minus 10 wind chill wearing just a T-shirt - that was so cool.

Lance Reddick.

Only 60. Such a great actor. As often as he portrayed a cop he oughta have bagpipes at his funeral.

Sire Records co-founder, Seymour Stein passed away at age 80 from cancer.

His list of artist discoveries (including The Talking Heads, Ramones, Madonna, The Replacements, Depeche Mode, The Smiths, Echo & the Bunnymen, Ministry, The Cure, Ice-T) rivals anyone.
