CBS Sports: Warriors release rendering for new downtown San Francisco arena

http://www.cbssports...francisco-arena

This looks pretty cool

ESPNWarriors plan to build new arena

The Golden State Warriors have agreed to terms to buy 12 acres of land in San Francisco's Mission Bay neighborhood to build a new arena.

The Warriors announced Tuesday that they would buy the land from salesforce.com. The team was originally hoping to build a new arena on San Francisco's waterfront but those plans faced opposition from critics concerned about traffic, environmental issues and blocked views of the Bay Bridge.

I wonder who the coach will be?

Were talking about 4 years from now, so it might be 2-3 coaches from now anyways.

Jackson is a headcase. His act would work a lot better in college.

I figured.

They should just admit that the offseason was very poor. They gave away far too much in the Iggy deal (which also stunted Barnes growth and they couldn't afford to re sign Jack and Landry, both were huge role/glue/character guys last year), which wasn't Jackson's fault.

Interesting to see how guys like Curry and Lee respond, since they both wanted Jackson to stay. Does this give the Knicks any pause on the Kerr thing? Jackson is a legend in NYC.

Iggy was a very good move IMO. But I guess you have to find an excuse for your boy Barnes. ;)

They traded 4 picks for him, 2 expiring contracts, and gave him $48 million right away, and he had a worse PER than Josh McRoberts...

Go ask the Warriors brass now if they think it was a good move.

As for HB, yes I'm disappointed in the way they've used him, and I know for a fact that there are many in the Warriors FO that if they had to do it over, they wouldn't have done the Iggy deal.

Doesn't mean HB would have been an All Star, but I'd have liked to have seen him have a shot. We've seen glimpses in the playoffs the last two years.

Just talked to my buddy Noah out there, and he tells me that Welts REALLY wants Kerr, and will do anything to get him...

Interesting.

Defense is his best attribute, so PER isn't a great stat to use for him. Also, McRoberts is solid. Lastly, those picks and expiring contracts aren't that valuable.
