As the #1 or #2 seed, the Ravens may have to play BOTH NE and Pitt.

As the #3 seed, they would likely only have to play one of them and would get a second round match up in Houston.

If you knew those would play out that way, would you prefer to play the Jets(or whoever) in the WC round and then go to Houston or would you prefer the bye?

I'd rather have the bye, and play NE and Pitt. I don't expect Houston to win multiple playoff games, but I would not like to play the Texans in Houston.

Also, obviously want the extra week of rest for the Ravens veterans and to potentially have two home games.

If you told me the Ravens would go to the Super Bowl, I'd love to see the Ravens have to face NE, Pitt, and an undefeated Green Bay in order.

I agree with Chris. The Ravens need that bye game more than the match up priorities. The Ravens actually match up well against all of the playoff teams because when dedicated, they show the ability to run on anyone and stop the run. In the playoffs and cold harsh weather, the combination of home games and what I mentioned above makes it tough for any team to win in Baltimore.
