Corrrea has agreed to deals totaling 25 years and $665 million thus far. . .and still doesn't know where he may be playing.

I think what we're going to find here is Scherzer's appeal should get the suspension nullified. Assuming Scherzer was correct in that he only used rosin (and sweat), then the umpire instructing him to use alcohol to wipe off the rosin was a pretty stupid thing to do. That's not how you clean off the rosin. You use soap and water. Alcohol actually makes the rosin stickier. There's definitely a disconnect here.

Unhappy days in NY with the Metropolitans. Not what you thought 335M would buy.
Winning is more than Payroll and it's more than Talent.

Could be worse. The Mets could actually have signed Carlos Correa.

He has hit a couple HRs the last few nights to pull his OPS up to .692.

Mets with epic 8th inning yesterday.
The Mets simply couldn't get out of their own way in a fundamental breakdown in the eighth inning that turned almost comical -- at least for Phillies fans -- as they choked away a sure thing.
The final tally, for those keeping score at home: The Phillies walked three times, were hit twice, reached on an error and had just one hit in a 10-batter, four-run eighth inning that set off a 7-6 win over New York on Sunday.

Things are getting ugly in NY. Buck rarely shows frustration in the game but he was fuming last night.

Of course. Thats an old injured team. But they need an overhaul or it wont matter who is running the show.
Does Buck survive the season? Major disappointment in NY.

Combine that with the fact, that some of their best are playing poorly, it is hard to see how they can right the ship at this point.

Max is showing signs. Verlander is starting to get going a bit, though his under the hood numbers aren’t great. They still have a shot to turn it around but are approaching the danger zone IMO.

So many guys that are 30+ there. McNeil is falling hard. Lindor still plays defense but his offense outside of power is falling. Marte old and falling. Nimmo and Alonso are the only ones not dissapppiointing
They may have had their last gasp, last year.

Trade for Alonso.
The O’s have the pieces to get a deal done (if NYM are willing to move him), but it’d be costly.
