I think deGrom has broken the ERA+ scale.
His current ERA+ is 1245. No joke. 1245.
Pedro's incredible season in 2000 was a 291. That is second All-Time to (you guessed it) Tim Keefer's 293 in 1880.

Posnanski on DeGrom:
He became just the seventh pitcher in baseball history to throw a complete-game shutout, allow two hits or less, strike out 15 or more and not walk anybody. Three of these games are very famous. You have Kerry Wood’s 20-strikeout, no-walk one-hitter. And there are the no-hitters thrown by Max Scherzer and Clayton Kershaw.
Bedard was also one of the seven to do it.
Erik Bedard did it July 7, 2007, against Texas. That year, Bedard finished fifth in the Cy Young voting and seemed ready to jump into the elite pitching group. The Mariners certainly thought so; the next offseason they traded four players to get him, including Adam Jones, George Sherrill and Chris Tilman, all of who would become All-Stars for the Orioles.

Conforto rejects QO from Mets. We'll see what happens. Feels like that's going to be a mistake.

Showalter's name has resurfaced as possible Mets Manager candidate, again//still?
Billy Eppler is going set to be the new GM there.

Cohen annoyed by the way the negotiations with Matz's agent played out. (I have no issues with anything, they don't have to go back to the Mets)...but they were/are clearly looking to add a solid LHer to the rotation.

Mets sign Eduardo Escobar, Mark Canha, and Starling Marte.
Pretty interesting day for the Mets.
They had big OF needs coming into the off-season and aggressively answered them with Marte and Canha who improve both the offense and defense. Nimmo moves over to a corner so they are pretty set out there now.
They probably still have room for Baez to come back, but this may be more of a situation where he has to come back to them a little.
They didn't burn a prospect or draft pick to upgrade, so they still have all their chips to pursue a starter. with these signings too, they are solidifying their 3-year window.
